The backpack is unhardened, but the vegetable-tanned leather is very sturdy. This means you can carry it on your back with both hands free to do whatever you want.
P.S. Iso-Kraaseli is an island off Raahe costline. There is an old lighthouse and pilot house built in 1852. The backpack was inspired by the idea of pilots who, with their lunch in their backpacks, set out to pilot ships from Raahe to the seas of the world and back to their home port.
